It doesn’t matter who you are, or where you’re from because every culture has them. Stories of things, beings, of living nightmares that would love nothing more than to see you dead. Some of these spun yarns are fashioned into morality tales told by elders to the young to frighten them into good behaviour, while others have been bastardized again and again by film and television simply for entertainment. The tradition of story telling has been going on since man could first communicate with one another. Which when you think of it is so long that if you were to one day discover that the Bogeyman was in fact real, well now who would believe you.
This is how they like it. They being those who these tales refer to, the creatures that would scare even the bravest of men. Vampires. Werewolves. Bogeymen. They have all done their part in telling these stories, fabricating bits and pieces to better help shield them from various vicious mobs of angry humans over the millennia. Though not all the creatures from such stories are real (so sorry vampire pumpkin fans), those that do exist wish to live their lives (and in some cases un-lives) in peace and quiet as best not to join the list of monsters that are now extinct. This being said there are still those who wish to make mankind subservient and once more rule the world.
Ours is a tale of those who live in the city of Los Angeles. Of humans who do not know the truths of the world. Of vampires who wish to break with the traditions of old and let the world know that they exist. Of creatures most vicious fighting a war against their own kind. The balance of things unseen is shifting and even those who could not fathom the existence of these nightmarish creatures are beginning to feel it. They don’t know why their skin crawls like they’re being watched, they just know it has been happening a lot more often. The nocturnal activities of the things that go bump in the night have started to bleed into the daylight hours.
No one is safe, not even in their own homes. Not even those of a supernatural nature.
No one is exempt from these vicious traditions.
