So.
Even with all my nonexistent awesomeness, I cannot run this site all on my little lonesome. Trust me, I’ve tried to be the only staff on a site before and it just doesn’t work, even on a small one. One person cannot be on 24/7, and no one can make all the tough calls that come with the job on their own. On top of that, I'm headed to camp in less than two weeks and this place will need someone to look after it. Therefore, WIWG is holding its very first staff search less than a day after it opened. Woo-hoo!
In case you’re wondering about how many people I’m after, I’m not sure. This place is brand-new, so I doubt I’ll be taking any more than three people, but it depends on how many applications I get and how quickly we pick up members.
Now, one thing to keep in mind: this is not going to be easy. If this site goes anywhere near the direction I want it to, being staff is going to be fun, and it’s going to be rewarding, but it’ll also be work. New sites require a lot of patience and effort in order to keep them running until they hit solid ground. This isn’t meant to warn you away or scare you, but it is meant to be a bit cautioning. Don’t charge in just because you want a pretty-coloured name; make sure you know what you’re getting into.
Here are the positions I’m looking for:
Moderator – These guys are mainly going to be moderating both IC and OOC posts; they’ll be checking to make sure everyone is following the rules, and can warn users. They can also accept character bios, can move/lock/edit posts, and may be called upon to do random stuff whenever I need them.
Global Moderator – This position is similar to that of moderator, but they have a bit more power- most notably, they can ban/delete users and can manage the boards and categories. Basically, these guys are the admins when the admin isn’t around.
And the skills and qualities I’m after:
You have to be trustworthy and responsible. This is huge. If I can’t trust you, and if you’re not going to use the power I’m giving you responsibly, you are not going to be on my staff. At all. Ever.
Patience, tolerance, and a generally decent disposition are all good. Members will ask you questions that might get repetitive, you will probably have to do some tedious work at times, and you will most likely have to deal with everyone on the site, no matter how much they annoy you.
Activity! I don’t expect 24/7 enrollment, but I do expect to see you a few times a week. If you’re not on, how can you fulfill your staffly duties?
RP skill is important. This is an RP site, after all- hopefully you noticed that (if you were unaware, you probably shouldn’t be applying here).
Some skill with coding or graphics (or both) is unnecessary but would be absolutely amazing. I’m a newbie coder (anything more complicated than what’s already here is probably going to be beyond me), and most of my graphics are failures (*gestures toward the current affiliate button*), so help with both those things will be greatly appreciated.
Now, finally, the form! Fill this out and post it before, shall we say, July 14, and I’ll get back to you all within a few days of that. Thanks, and good luck! Username: Name: (whatever you want us to call you, be it your username or a nickname or whatever) Age: (this isn’t that important, so don’t worry too much- it’s just nice to know) Preferred Position: Previous Experience: (list any sites you can think of that you’ve staffed, as well as your position there) Why should you be staff?

Username: galexkatniss Name: gxk Age: 15 Preferred Position: Moderator or Global Moderator Previous Experience: Bakuworld: www.createforum.com/bakuworld/ : Global Moderator Why should you be staff? Gosh I hate talking about myself... But ok, here it goes. Well I'm online for at least a little bit almost everyday(Yes, I have no life). I've never been banned, or even warned on any site. And I have experience as a Global Moderator. I'd like to think I'm a trustworthy person, I can't think of anything I've done to make someone not want to trust me. I try my very best to be patient and fair with everyone, not just my friends. And I've RPed on many different kinds of sites: Hunger Games RPs, Medieval RPs, Anime RPs, Horse RPs, and others that are not coming to my mind at the moment. I know I'm responsible, I've been looking after horses, and children who ride horses for 5 years now, as well as moderating for about 2 years now. I'm good at answering questions, and such. Thanks once again to horses and my other Global Moderator job. I do clinics, lessons, and such with horses, so I'm used to repetitive questions, and confused people coming to me with a large number of questions at once. And I can proudly say I'm good with graphics, yay graphics! Here are some examples of my work: storm-skyrus.deviantart.com/art/Under-The-Moon-169179607?q=&qo= storm-skyrus.deviantart.com/art/Light-My-Storm-169483791?q=&qo= storm-skyrus.deviantart.com/art/The-Storm-Within-166685766?q=gallery%3AStorm-Skyrus%2F8352609&qo=12 storm-skyrus.deviantart.com/art/Spirit-Of-The-Water-118204584?q=gallery%3AStorm-Skyrus%2F8354040&qo=17 (Yes all horse related, but I can manipulate just about anything. Me and my good buddy, The Gimp. )Roleplay Sample: ~Naida Gardez~
Naida had fallen so far into her own world no one could reach her anymore. Her parents had lost a second child even though she was not dead. Her younger siblings wonder why all of a sudden they're beloved older sister didn't talk, didn't smile, didn't laugh, didn't play with them anymore. It was like she'd become a stranger in her own home. She heard her mother call to tell her dinner was ready and for her to come and eat. Naida didn't respond, she wasn't hungry. Instead of recognition at her mother's voice she felt like a gust of wind with icy shards in it had gone whipping past her. Her mother had done nothing for them when Raiden died in the games. All she could do is sob and leave everything up to Naida and her father even though she still had two young children that needed her. The mere thought of it made the anger inside Naida flare up. And now with Alba dead too she felt there was nothing left to care about. Was she some sort of curse or something? Her brother, then her best friend. Just watch, when Raviv and Ilayda come of age they'll both get reaped and get murdered too. But that's what seems to happen to everyone who gets close to me. The call from her mother came again, and again it fell on deaf ears. Eventually her father came in to see what was wrong with his daughter. Asking what was the matter and telling her to come eat. What could possibly be the matter you idiot! Naida thought bitterly. A hand reached out for her should as to guide her into the family dinning area. It was smacked away. She buried her face against her knees. Getting the hint her father sighed in defeat and left.
Trapped, she felt so trapped. Rising from her seat in the corner of her bedroom Naida briskly made her way out the front door without a single good-bye or telling anyone where she was off to. Only stopping to grab her fishing spear and a bag of bait. She rushed off toward the cove she'd spent so many hours of her childhood with brother. People on the streets of District Four pitied her, the ones that knew her brother at least. It wasn't at all hard to recognize Naida as Raiden's younger sister. And making it too the final fighter her brother was pretty well known. But it only made it worse. How close he'd been to coming home, the sympathetic looks. What did they know?! How could they even begin to think they knew how she felt? She didn't know what was worse, Alba dying the first day of the games, or Raiden dying on the last. Each shattered her heart and this time she was as near positive as you could be that she couldn't possibly put all the pieces back together again. It was a distant memory, the happy, normal, well-adjusted girl she used to be. That was all gone, never coming back. She visited the graves everyday, put down new flowers everyday. But it never eased the pain. Seeing those stones was only another cruel reminder that they were gone. And I will be too, all too soon. Life is so short. Making her way down the streets of Four she wove her way in and around people, trying desperately to avoid anyone who may talk to her. The last thing she wanted right now was to have to talk to anyone, besides she didn't trust her voice at the moment anyway. How could she? It seemed every time she wanted to speak her voice either wasn't there, or came out as choked sobs. Damn the capitol, what has it done to me? And I'm not even in the games.
The cove was fairly close now. Naida could vividly remember the warm waves lapping up on the pale sand, the salty breeze, and the sweet sounds of the fish and birds that lived there. It was the place where she'd spent her last day with her brother before he'd been sent off to the arena to die. He'd reassured her that she'd be ok, but he never made any promises about himself. She couldn't help but believe he knew he was doomed to never make it home to his family and the District he loved. Ilayda and Raviv had been so young when he died that they it hadn't hurt them the way it had Naida. Of course they loved him and missed him dearly but they didn't know what it was like for their older sister. All they knew was the games meant two kids from the District left to fight until only one person lived. And the other had never been in Raiden's favor, even up to his last moment. A spear vs a sword. The spear hit its mark almost killing the victor before he leave the arena, but not before his sword had impaled her brother through the chest. She shook her head violently trying with everything she could muster to shake the images from her head. Just get to the cove. One foot in front of the over, pull it together. Sure people looked at her funny when she had the mental horror movie going on, but she'd love to see them in her position and how they'd handle it. How would they handle Losing their sanity. Other: Figured I'd at least give it a shot. Quint, Aya, and Thundy are probably better choices, because they're all amazing. But hey, I can attempt and do my best.

Curious to be one... and I want some experience of leadership. is a sucky leader person So... Username: mesic Name: I usually don't care what to be called. A lot of people call me Luna (from HGTRPG); as long as I know who you're referring to and I can always tell you're calling for me ('mes' might be harder, but 'Mes' is better, for example) Age: OMGosh gaiz, i'm totally 14! 18 Preferred Position: Mod or even some RP/character-making tutor though I suckPrevious Experience: None Dx Why should you be staff?Well... I want to try to get some experience in case of future moments, and I try to be tolerable and in good spirit (because it is the Internet and not to be taken frsrs!) Usually I'm on a lot. Roleplay Sample:(using Tark as my sample though he's not made) Sunshine peeked through the blinds that let everything spill through. The light was extremely bright, impeded not by a single cloud; everything was clear, blue, and bombastically cheery, full of overspreading mirth. Heat could be felt through the glass, permeating throughout the room yet countered by the ever-blowing fan and cool air through the ventilation system.
Clothes were strewn in many places of the room, even being drooled by the dressers; if a game was made not to step on a single spot of fabric, one would need tiny feet. The queen-sized bed of blue was left messy on one side. A pad of paper on a night dresser was scribbled of various notes. Many books on coding, cooking, and daggers littered the single bookshelf. Present were three posters from childhood - and collecting dust to prove so. On the north wall was a dog; the south, a hawk; occupying the east was a butterfly. Scribbled on the west side was the word 'moth'.
Click! Click! A monitor purred as chuckling commenced. A tiny scream could be heard, and a single burst of snickering and laughter erupted in the room. Cobalt blue eyes reflected off a black screen with only two words small and plastered on center: Dead End.
"Tark." A knock pounded on the door. "Tark, sweetie, can you please stop playing that game and clean up your room? It would really help me." "Eh? Guess I can, Ma." Click! Click! "Thank you, Tark."
The young man watched as a clock tower appeared and ticked down to the symbolic XII, chiming a dull yet connotative depressing sound. Strands of blue covered his eyes as he got to working, folding fabric and tossing them to multiple piles.
It had taken a while but the task the finished. The legal adult wiped his hands against each other after putting the piles in their respective places.
Tark left his room, sighing heartily. He started to head for the front door, smirking. "Mom, Dad, gonna go out. Feel like it." Even if he was not looking at them, he could feel the smile on their faces. "Be safe." Suppressed chuckle. "I ain't a kid anymore, ya know!"
He darted off, almost flying. Other: Can't to graphics or coding. Dx The best 'coding' is the proboards buttons... and that's not even coding.

Username: skylar, display name is You Don't Know Me. Name: Skylar/Sky, Moose, YDKM, Age: 13. Preferred Position: Whatever you see fits best for me. Previous Experience: - Global Moderator on HGO.
- I'm a Role Play Tutor on TND, but I think I'm gonna move up in positions sooner or later.
- I'm a junior admin on LIALW, but I have all the powers of an admin.
- And I'm an admin on my unfinished site located here.
Why should you be staff? Well, Wolf Tears, if you haven't noticed, I'm always on, like always, and I know basic HTML and like, all of UBBC. I'm understanding, but I can enforce rules if need be. Um, I guess I'm a fairly decent Role Player, by what other people say, but.. yeah. Um, I have experience of being a leader not only on sites, but outside of the internet as well, so I guess that's a plus. Um, I've read the books a whole buncha times, if that makes a difference, and I love to come up with new ways and cool things. I'm all into making things pretty, so...yeah. I would show you some of my graphics, but I'm on a different computer and it would be hard to locate and stuff. If you must see, the header image at the top of this site's ad is mine, my signature is mine, the thing that says 'awesome' in my signature over at THG is mine, and Semper's and Shank's pictures are mine, and...yeah. :] Roleplay Sample: Here's a thread. And a post: Once upon a time ago, there lived a baby named Greenuck Frats. And this young Greenuck Frats was one baby that loved to have nicknames. Whether or not he was called by these nicknames were important too. Some friends would call him one thing, others would call him another, and then the really special friends would call him something else. It was all fun for Greenuck, until one day, a not-so-good friend started to call him a nickname that wasn't assigned to him, and the rude little boy wouldn't stop it. After a few days Greenuck got very angry, and the result was lots of bite marks to the boy's arms, neck, hands and cheeks. Taught him a lesson, huh?
The point is, ever since then, nicknames haven't been aloud for Greenuck. He would let the occasional 'Green' or 'Greeny' to slip by, but if it became continual, so did insults and injuries. That is, the insults and injuries going to the continual nickname giver. It was strange how one thing could come from just one small incident when he was a child.
"Oh, what a fine name. Zane Qyicun. Am I saying it correctly? Zuh-ain Kwhy-uhkin? Oh I hope so. I don't like mispronunciations. You don't seem like the type to either, so excuse f I'm saying it wrong. And I'll gladly return the favor by saying that my name is Greenuck. Greenuck Frats. Laugh if you will, but note that if you do, I won't like it. And when Careers like me aren't happy, it's not a good thing now is it?" He raised his eyebrows at the girl and lifted a corner of his mouth. He wasn't exactly sure what facial expression he was aiming for, but it sure seemed to fit.
It then occurred to him that nothing good could be coming from a girl, sitting on top of a roof of one of the buildings, in a town filled with such maniacal and 'party-down' like people. Most didn't carry backpacks with them either, and so when Greenuck spotted Zane's backpack not too far away from her, he immediately felt suspicious of the girl. He had no idea what the girl was capable of, and in fact, he didn't want to find out either. And so he decided to leave this lunatic of a girl. If that's what she was going to turn out to be.
"Oh, I just remembered something! I.... I.... I have a presentation at my little sisters school because she... she... got 'Most Outstanding Writer', and so I need to leave! I'm sorry about this, maybe we can meet up some other time?"
Greenuck knew he didn't have a sister, and he knew that if he did, there was no way that he would attend a presentation at her school because of a probably nonexistent award. In a sense, he regretted lying, because she seemed like an interesting girl, and in another sense, he probably felt like she would end up killing him by the end of the night.
And so with that, he gave a light smile and hesitantly turned towards the door that led to the monstrous stairwell that'd he have to scale to reach his freedom. The only thing is, regret overcame him, and so stayed.
"Oh I'm just kidding. I wanted to see how'd you react."
It was complete lie, and he wasn't sure if Zane could sense it or not, but he hoped for the best, because for one he wasn't being a pessimist. He let out a small laugh, hopefully tonight wouldn't end in a murder.
Other: I hope that I did good enough? xD I didn't wanna just leave this blank...

Username: lifetocerealName: Lifie Age:... 12 ... Preferred Position: Mod. I don't like too much power. Previous Experience: halfbloodhaven moderator: halfbloodhaven.proboards.com Why should you be staff? I'm almost always on and I lurb this site so much! The plot, the people, the... EVERYTHING, and I would love to have a part in it other than just a normal member. I have some skill with GIMP, although I'm a total noob compared to anyone else. So yeah. Basically, everyone that is currently auditioning would be a better choice, but I'm just a little southern girl boy looking for experience and I would love you forever if you picked me Street Flow. And hey, I gave you that awesome nickname!
Roleplay Sample: Oh jeez do I have to do this? Grah. The pitter-patter of rain was the only sound I could hear. The sound of rain is so relaxing, so soothing. It makes all the chaos of the world just slip away... That's why I hate it. The world should be chaotic! There should be things going on around you. Drama, fights, poverty, each thing makes us realize how pathetic each of us really is. We're all just a tiny piece of the Capitol's games. It's depressing huh? Knowing we have absolutely zero influence in how our lives are going to play out, it's depressing right? But look on the bright side! At least not all of us are poor. At least not all of us have anger issues and get into random fights. At least not all of us are stuck in the middle trying to choose between whether I should date a boy or a girl. But I am. Enter Max Radke.
I was walking down the street towards the pier. I needed to go get my work orders, my quota, and my tools. IT was time for another day of work.
And: There was a massive crowd in District Four. It was the second reaping day in history, after all. People all over were shouting obscenities and shoving the people in front of them. Max was in the very front of the crowd. Unfortunately, it was his last year eligible for The Hunger Games, a fact that upset him dearly, for it would be his last chance to regain his families honor. The Radke family used to be one of District Four's most prominent families. Well, before Max killed them. He took a knife and just went to town. Sort of. But back to the Reaping.
Max was standing at the very front of the crowd. It was exactly noon, and our so called "Escort" was just about to read off the names of the oh so lucky bastards people chosen for the games. This flamboyant lady was on a stage like contraption and it seemed as if she was annoyed with her job. Max didn't care. "Read the names stupid!" He yelled out, getting glares from everyone around him.
" "Brooke Destan! Please come up here and receive your prize of almost certain death!" And after they had lay their first foot on the first step, the next name was being called. "Max Radke! You too!" " She said it with a demonic grin on her face, as if she was thanking karma for picking the disrespectful little kid that shouted at her.
"Hey lady! Hey everyone! My name is Max Radke, and I will take this "prize" this woman is giving me, but it is not near certain death... It is victory. Mark my words, I WILL be the second Hunger Games victor so help me God!" And with that, Max was instantly quiet. He got on one knee and surveyed the crowd. The Hunger Games victor Max Radke... It had a nice ring to it.
/phail. Other: I love you Street Flow! And besides all the sillyness and such in the post, I really want this for experience most of all. I want to have more staff experience and I believe this will help me dearly. /bad grammar Dx

Why should you be staff? I have experience. We're staff on the same site together. You're relatively familiar with how I work. I'm familiar with how you work. ^^ And I'm familiar with how Proboards work. I work relatively well with coding; I'm not like super godly awesome, but I can get the job done. Activity shouldn't be a problem with me. I live near the entertainment central of California, so camps and other long term recreational activities besides sports are pretty nonexistent here. I'm a pretty good RP'er so yeah, I like to believe I have skill in that area. Besides that, I can work well with any new members and any members that are unfamiliar with roleplaying. And most especially, I'm not applying for power, but rather to help out with a rising site with lots and lots of potential that I'd be honored to help make grow.
Roleplay Sample:
Nero Nero hadn’t expected to end the night exchanging body heat with someone who was supposed to be his enemy. He had gone there to train. The Games would be coming up soon. He had hoped the spot would be his. He deserved it. But now that he had something to return to, victory would be reached with even greater determination. Arcadia London. He held her closer, stroking her back and smelling her hair as his cold lips pressed against her hot.
He felt despair fill him as he broke away from him, but he couldn’t help but be aroused by the lascivious girl as she wiped her hand against her mouth. He pursed his lips, licking away whatever salivation had remained. She jumped up on the counter and reclined against him. He was much taller than her, yet she won him over by almost 2 years. It would be a bit awkward if he had actually thought about it. But he was enjoying the moment too much to actually interrupt it with something not very significant if they had actually taken the time to register it. Age was just a number. Strength was what mattered in the long run.
Smiling as she leaned her head against his shoulder, he dropped his head over hers and played with her hair. He took a moment to lick his lips again as she remarked satisfaction. ”Well,” he said as he held her tighter and wrapped his arm around her. ”We’ve got all night...” She said nothing, instead lacing her fingers around his. Her hands were unbelievably subtle, soft to the touch. He caught her glances at him; perhaps she was uncomfortable. About what, though? That they had just made out in the medical closet. That they were raised from the beginning, being told that one day, they would have to, sooner or later, kill the other. They had been used. They had been trained like machines.
His eyes fell down to the floor, trying to look through the ground and down at the fiery evil place where his destiny lay. That’s where I’m going... Surely enough, he would. He had done so much in the life. So much bad and now he would pay. The greatest thing he would love would be ripped away from soon. Unfortunately, he would have to ultimately decided whether that greatest thing be the Games or Arcadia London. He loved both so much. He wanted to be with both forever. Both gave him a sort of unexplainable rush that made him want to run on and on and on, and just well, keep going.
Nero, without warning, went forward and kissed her again, this time holding her closer. About as close as they could get. To the point where he could feel her heart beat pound against his. Though, if she was to actually feel his chest and listen, there was possibility that maybe, just maybe, she would find silence; nothing; an absence. "What now, Nero? I-I have to leave, Father will be none too happy with me." And very much like the kiss, without warning, he panicked. F-Father... Nero had almost forgotten about the evil old man. He had trained Arcadia, enough that she could actually be worthy of being compared to his strength. And that, was quite an honor. It had been rather hard as to whether he respected, feared, or hated the man. He had been the only one to create a product that matched his value. To create a product that had weakened him so.
This, from the beginning, had been a fight between Nero and no, not Arcadia, but Father. They had only interacted once. 4 years ago, when he had beaten what was thought to be an impossibly invincible Career to the pulp. The opponent had been traumatized from then on, mentally paralyzed at his defeat, almost considered a medical vegetable, to the point of his true defeat when he had committed suicide off of one of the taller buildings placed in the Town Square dedicated to the Careers. None the matter, it was then, that Father London had brushed passed bloody Nero, giving him a nod of consent and a slight blossoming of respect. Though, from that day, Nero had known that Father would produce something to defeat him. He had warned him that day. All with one nod.
The clapping sounds echoed in the gym, and Nero had immediately known who had entered. His first instinct would be to grab his knife, but when he reached for the completely essential weapon, he wrapped his checkered hand around nothing, instead finding air and the absence of a sharp useful object. He had forgotten back at the gym. Or some could say he had forgotten his knife in the hand of Father London, but nooo, the old ratfink had to go on and pick it up for himself.
Nero jumped immediately, keeping the last bit of scrutiny he had with him focused towards the intruder. The majority of his attention was still grasped with Arcadia. He wanted more. He want to touch her lips again. He loved the taste of her mouth and the warmth of her breathing. Now, who knew whether he’d make it out alive. There had been myths between all the guys back in training where Father had once been a Career at one time. Though not just a Career, but the best Career. Very much like himself. He was now facing his best competition. His strongest competition. And very much likely, his final competition. [/blockquote] Other: None.[/blockquote]

Alright, it's the 14th and this staff search is closed! Thank you, applicants! All of you, whether I chose you or not, have done really well. It's going to be ridiculously hard, but I should have the results to you by the end of the day.
EDIT: Okay, Matta asked nicely and therefore gets to apply. THEN it's closing. =3

Slayer Central: Admin--I beg of you not to click that link It's a Buffy RPG that I'm working on, and it's all white and bland right now....so yeah, But I felt I needed to post it so that it would seem I had more staff experience than I actually do. Why should you be staff?Time to brag about myself, eh? I've never been good at this....Let's see.... Well, as seen above, I've had a few staff experiences. Even though most of them ended very badly, I still got some experience with working, especially when the site is very new, like this one! So, I covered experience....what's next? Oh yes, activity. Well, if you haven't actually realized this yet, I had no life so I will probably be on a lot. I love working (Weird, right?) so I'll pretty much be your monkey slave and do whatever you need without arguing. Another thing I love is people. Really, I do. I'm tolerant with new members, and try to help them as much as I can. I answer their questions without getting annoyed, and if I was staff I'd probably keep a word document with answers to FAQs and just copy and paste them....I know, I know, maybe a bit over the top but I take everything I do very seriously. The last reason I should be staff is because I love Spongebob. I mean, Spongebob fans can only generate amazingness, am I right? So, I hated doing this because I'm usually modest....so I'm gonna shut up right about now. Roleplay Sample:Lesse, the ones I'm most proud of are Shayanne's Death Thread, Carex's Interview , and -insert Carex Death Link Here- (I know, I know, but if what I have in my mind comes true, it will be my favorite post ever) Other: Spongebob! =D
