"The fundamental principle of gestalt perception is the law of prägnanz, which says that we tend to order our experience in a manner that is regular, orderly, symmetric, and simple..."
The world of Gestalt Theory is a world of unusual wonders and uncanny occurrences. Strange beings roam the world, walk the streets, blend in with the crowd, and live their lives as regular ol' people like you or me. I mean, there's nothing particularly eye-popping about the occasional quirky loner, besides their odd habits, right? In all honesty, you probably know a few - the weirdo woman next door who had her house torn up by a rabid dog that one time, the handsome neighbor whose lived next door to you for twenty years without aging a day (he won't tell you his secrets either, the bastard), or maybe even the one time you swore to God you saw a tiger in someone's backyard.
Perfectly normal, right? Everyone has those weird days where things pop out at you from the corner of your eye, and -
Oh, who are we kidding?
Those weird things are really supernatural beings. All of them. Rabid dog? Nah, she was probably a werewolf - they exist, you know, right here in Boston. Your sexy neighbor who brings home all the young, pretty women? Totally a vampire, but please, just leave the garlic at the supermarket. The tiger in the backyard? Animal shifter. Yep. Don't look at me like that, I'm serious!
Gestalt Theory is a modern day "paranormal" roleplay where a bunch of terrifying mythical savages just so happen to exist, right nextdoor to regular joe human beings. Set in several cities - the fallen werewolf empire of Boston, the rising human trafficking kingdom of Las Vegas, and the derelict avenues of a desecrated New York - there's plenty of opportunity for mystery, mayhem, and merriment. Play as a werewolf, a shifter, a vampire, or just a plain mortal, there's interesting plots for all! The board plot is more of a vague suggestion for roleplay ideas, and players are more than welcome to mix in their own plots between eachother to spice things up!
With a relaxed OOC enviroment, a friendly mod team, no faceclaims or word counts, and plenty of welcoming members, GT is back from the dead under new management and better then ever!
